FAQs
Find instant answers regarding materials, custom ordering, and delivery.
What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tile?
Porcelain is fired at much higher temperatures and pressure, making it denser, less porous (water absorption < 0.5%), and more durable than ceramic. Porcelain is ideal for high traffic and outdoor environments, while ceramic is great for walls and light traffic residential floors.
What are rectified tiles?
Rectified tiles have had their edges mechanically ground to precise dimensions. This allows them to be installed with very narrow grout lines (as small as 1/16"), creating a seamless, monolithic modern look.
Do I need to seal my tile and grout?
Porcelain tiles themselves do not need sealing. However, standard cement based grout is porous and should be sealed to prevent water penetration and staining. If you use our epoxy grout systems, no sealing is required.
Can these tiles be used for shower walls?
Yes. Our porcelain and ceramic tiles are excellent for wet environments. Ensure a proper waterproofing membrane underlayment is installed behind the tiles on your shower walls.
